Description

A refreshing salad combining fresh fruits, crunchy walnuts, and creamy dressing, perfect for side dishes or light lunches.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium Apples (preferably a mix of sweet and tart varieties like Gala and Granny Smith)
  • 1 cup Grapes (halved seedless grapes)
  • 1 cup Celery (finely chopped)
  • 1 cup Walnuts (chopped)
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • ½ cup Plain Yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice (freshly squeezed)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black Pepper (freshly ground, to taste)

Instructions

  1. Wash the apples and grapes thoroughly under running water. Pat them dry.
  2. Core the apples and chop them into bite-sized pieces, leaving the skin on. Place in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Trim and wash the celery, then slice into small pieces. Add to the mixing bowl.
  4. Halve the grapes and add them to the bowl.
  5. Chop the walnuts and add them to the bowl, mixing gently.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine mayonnaise and yogurt until smooth.
  7. Squeeze in fresh lemon juice and season with salt and pepper. Mix well.
  8. Pour the dressing over the salad and gently fold to combine.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  10. Garnish with additional walnuts before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding dried cranberries or raisins. Adjust the mayonnaise and yogurt ratio to your liking. Store in an airtight container and consume within two days for freshness.
