- 1 cup brewed coffee

Instructions
- Slice the pound cake into thin pieces.
- Dip each slice in the brewed coffee.
- In a bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, whipped cream, and sugar.
- Layer the soaked cake with the cream mixture in a trifle dish.
- Repeat layers until ingredients are used up.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Dust with cocoa powder and add chocolate shavings before serving.
