Description

This Easy Wonton Soup is a warm, flavorful dish that you can whip up in just 15 minutes. Perfect for a quick meal, it’s comforting and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Chicken Broth (Use low sodium for a healthier option.)
  • 1 inch Fresh Ginger (Sliced thin)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (Minced)
  • 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce (Low sodium versions if desired.)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 12 ounces Mini Frozen Wontons (Trader Joe’s Chicken Cilantro recommended.)
  • 8 ounces Shiitake Mushrooms (Substitute with button mushrooms if needed.)
  • 2 cups Baby Bok Choy (Halved)
  • 2 scallions (Green parts only)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat the chicken broth over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced ginger and minced garlic to the broth. Let it simmer for about 3 minutes to infuse flavors.
  3. Stir in the soy sauce and sesame oil.
  4. Add the frozen wontons and shiitake mushrooms. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the wontons are heated through.
  5. Next, add the halved baby bok choy and cook for another 2 minutes until tender.
  6. Remove the pot from heat and add the sliced scallions on top.

Notes

Serve hot in a bowl. You can sprinkle extra scallions or chili oil on top for additional flavor.
