Description
A delicious twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, this skillet dish features lean ground beef and a variety of vegetables for a nutritious and hearty meal.
Ingredients
- 0.5 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups green bell peppers
- 1 cup frozen riced cauliflower
- 1 cup mushrooms
- 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
- 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 medium yellow onion
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup provolone cheese
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the yellow onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Stir in the green bell peppers and mushrooms. Cook for another 5 minutes until they are tender.
- Add the frozen riced cauliflower, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef. Cook until fully browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Once the beef is cooked, mix everything together in the skillet.
- Top the mixture with provolone and Parmesan cheeses. Cover and allow the cheese to melt, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and serve warm.
Notes
This dish can be served directly from the skillet for a family-style meal. Pair with a side salad or serve on a sub roll.
