Description

A delicious twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, this skillet dish features lean ground beef and a variety of vegetables for a nutritious and hearty meal.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups green bell peppers
  • 1 cup frozen riced cauliflower
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 0.5 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 medium yellow onion
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup provolone cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the yellow onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in the green bell peppers and mushrooms. Cook for another 5 minutes until they are tender.
  4. Add the frozen riced cauliflower, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.
  5. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef. Cook until fully browned, breaking it apart with a spatula.
  6. Once the beef is cooked, mix everything together in the skillet.
  7. Top the mixture with provolone and Parmesan cheeses. Cover and allow the cheese to melt, about 2-3 minutes.
  8. Remove from heat and serve warm.
