Description

Delicious and decorative Christmas wreath cookies that are perfect for holiday gatherings and gift-giving.


Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Green frosting
  • Mini red candies (for decoration)


Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Cream the softened butter and sugar in a separate bowl until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla, and almond extract, and mix until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until a dough forms.
  5. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Roll out the dough, cut into wreath shapes, and place on the prepared baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  9. Cool the cookies before decorating with green frosting and mini red candies.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes and use room temperature ingredients for mixing.
