Ingredients
- 2 cups pasta (elbow, penne, or your choice)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup gouda cheese, shredded
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour to create a roux; cook for 1-2 minutes.
- Gradually add milk, whisking continuously until smooth and thickened.
- Stir in mozzarella, cheddar, gouda, cream cheese, and half of the parmesan until melted and combined.
- Mix the cheese sauce with the cooked pasta, then transfer to a baking dish.
- Top with breadcrumbs and remaining parmesan cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
- Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can incorporate sautéed garlic or vegetables.
