Description

A gooey, cheesy delight made with a flavorful blend of five different cheeses, perfect for family gatherings or cozy dinners.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta (elbow, penne, or your choice)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup gouda cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko recommended)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente; drain and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour to create a roux; cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Gradually add milk, whisking continuously until smooth and thickened.
  4. Stir in mozzarella, cheddar, gouda, cream cheese, and half of the parmesan until melted and combined.
  5. Mix the cheese sauce with the cooked pasta, then transfer to a baking dish.
  6. Top with breadcrumbs and remaining parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can incorporate sautéed garlic or vegetables.
