A healthier twist on traditional sausage rolls with ground chicken, vegetables, and spices wrapped in flaky pastry.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 cup finely chopped bell peppers
- 1 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 cup finely chopped carrots
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 package puff pastry
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped vegetables, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Roll out the pastry on a floured surface and cut it into rectangles.
- Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture on one end of each rectangle.
- Roll up the pastry tightly, sealing the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
