Description

A healthier twist on traditional sausage rolls with ground chicken, vegetables, and spices wrapped in flaky pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup finely chopped bell peppers
  • 1 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 cup finely chopped carrots
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 package puff pastry
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, chopped vegetables, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll out the pastry on a floured surface and cut it into rectangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture on one end of each rectangle.
  5. Roll up the pastry tightly, sealing the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
