Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and melted butter in a separate bowl; add in the eggs.
  4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
