Description

Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 beaten egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Dissolve yeast in warm water with sugar and let it foam for a few minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and the activated yeast mixture.
- Knead the dough until smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
- Cover with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Shape the dough into small balls, placing them on a baking sheet.
- Brush with egg wash for a golden crust.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
Serve with soups or dipping sauces for a delightful treat. For variation, add herbs or cheese.
