A comforting Greek-inspired twist on baked ziti featuring ground beef, garlic, and melty mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ziti pasta
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with garlic and season with oregano and basil.
- Add the marinara sauce to the beef mixture and stir to combine.
- In a baking dish, layer the ziti, beef mixture, and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
For best results, use lean ground beef and be careful not to overcook the pasta.
