Description

A comforting Greek-inspired twist on baked ziti featuring ground beef, garlic, and melty mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ziti pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ziti according to package instructions until al dente.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with garlic and season with oregano and basil.
  4. Add the marinara sauce to the beef mixture and stir to combine.
  5. In a baking dish, layer the ziti, beef mixture, and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

For best results, use lean ground beef and be careful not to overcook the pasta.
