Description
Delicious grilled sandwiches made with creamy peanut butter, sweet banana rounds, and crispy bread, perfect for a snack or breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1 medium banana, cut into thin rounds
- 4 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 slices thick white sandwich bread
Instructions
- Spread a thin layer of mayo on one side of each piece of bread.
- Spread peanut butter on the sides of the bread with no mayo, from edge to edge.
- Place banana rounds on top of the peanut butter, covering two slices fully.
- Flip the plain peanut butter bread onto the banana-topped ones.
- Heat a pan or griddle over medium heat and place the sandwiches mayo-side down.
- Cook until golden brown, then flip to crisp the other side until warmed through.
Notes
Best served warm. Can be cut into halves or quarters for sharing. Pairs well with milk or coffee. For extra flavor, sprinkle cinnamon on the bananas before grilling.
