Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup rice (white or brown)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 2 cups beef broth or water
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh herbs (parsley or cilantro), for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
- Add diced onions, garlic, and bell peppers to the skillet, sautéing until softened.
- Rinse the rice and add it to the skillet along with beef broth or water.
- Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook until the rice is fluffy and has absorbed the liquid, about 20 minutes (adjust for brown rice).
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
Notes
For a spicy kick, add jalapeños or cayenne pepper. Using beef broth instead of water enhances flavor.
