Description

A comforting dish that combines pasta, savory beef, creamy cheese, and tangy marinara sauce, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish


Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta shells until al dente, according to package instructions.
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and egg; season with salt and pepper.
  4. Mix the beef with the cheese mixture.
  5. Stuff each shell with the beef mixture.
  6. Spread some marinara sauce at the bottom of a baking dish and place the stuffed shells on top.
  7. Pour remaining marinara sauce over the shells.
  8. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes or until bubbly and golden.

Notes

Stuffed shells can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
