Description

A comforting dish featuring tender chicken and flavorful rice, served with aromatic dipping sauces.


Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce
  • Fresh cucumbers, for garnish
  • Cilantro sprigs, for garnish
  • Salt, to taste


Instructions

  1. Poach the whole chicken in simmering broth until fully cooked.
  2. Remove the chicken and let it cool in the broth.
  3. Strain the broth and use it to cook the jasmine rice.
  4. Prepare dipping sauces by mixing soy sauce and chili sauce.
  5. Slice the cooled chicken and serve over the rice, drizzling with broth.
  6. Garnish with cucumber slices and cilantro.

Notes

Use a whole chicken for the best flavor and chill the chicken in the broth to enhance moisture.
