Description

A wholesome and comforting baked oatmeal infused with the warm flavors of apple and cinnamon, perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 2 medium apples, diced (preferably Honeycrisp)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup nuts (optional, for topping)
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, diced apples, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt.
  3. Pour in the milk and maple syrup, stirring until well mixed.
  4. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes to soak up moisture.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. Sprinkle nuts or additional toppings if desired.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving warm with a drizzle of maple syrup or honey.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the refrigerator. Can freeze for up to 3 months.
