Description
Delicious pepperoni and cheese-filled rolls with a flaky crust, perfect for snacking or sharing at gatherings.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cold butter, diced
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup pepperoni, sliced
- 1 cup cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Optional herbs and spices (e.g. oregano, basil)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, mix the flour and salt. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cold water until the dough forms. Do not overwork it.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Layer pepperoni and cheese evenly over the dough.
- Roll the dough up tightly and slice into individual rolls.
- Place rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with egg wash.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing. Can be customized with different fillings or cheeses.
