Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, dissolve sugar and yeast in warm water; let sit until frothy.
- Add melted butter, minced garlic, and salt to the mixture.
- Gradually add flour, mixing until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces, shape them into rolls, and place on a baking sheet.
- Cover and let rise for a second time until puffy (about 30 minutes).
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Brush with garlic butter before serving.
