Description
Delicious and healthy homemade popcorn that you can easily make and customize with various flavors.
Ingredients
- 0.5 cup Popcorn Kernels
 - 2-3 tablespoons Neutral Oil (Canola or Coconut)
 - 1 teaspoon Salt
 - 2 tablespoons Melted Butter
 - Various Flavorings (Nutritional yeast, spices, or cheese powder)
 
Instructions
- Heat a medium-sized pot over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
 - Add the oil and test with 2-3 kernels. Wait for them to pop.
 - Remove test kernels and add the remaining popcorn kernels in an even layer.
 - Cover the pot with a lid, leaving it slightly ajar to allow steam to escape.
 - Shake the pot gently every few seconds until popping slows to 2 seconds between pops.
 - Remove from heat and lift the lid to let steam escape.
 - Transfer popcorn to a large bowl, drizzle with melted butter, and add any flavorings.
 - Season with salt to taste and toss to coat.
 
Notes
Ensure your pot has a tight-fitting lid and shake the pot occasionally for even cooking. Experiment with flavors for variety.
