Delicious and healthy homemade popcorn that you can easily make and customize with various flavors.

Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Popcorn Kernels
  • 2-3 tablespoons Neutral Oil (Canola or Coconut)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Melted Butter
  • Various Flavorings (Nutritional yeast, spices, or cheese powder)

Instructions

  1. Heat a medium-sized pot over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add the oil and test with 2-3 kernels. Wait for them to pop.
  3. Remove test kernels and add the remaining popcorn kernels in an even layer.
  4. Cover the pot with a lid, leaving it slightly ajar to allow steam to escape.
  5. Shake the pot gently every few seconds until popping slows to 2 seconds between pops.
  6. Remove from heat and lift the lid to let steam escape.
  7. Transfer popcorn to a large bowl, drizzle with melted butter, and add any flavorings.
  8. Season with salt to taste and toss to coat.

Notes

Ensure your pot has a tight-fitting lid and shake the pot occasionally for even cooking. Experiment with flavors for variety.
