Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 fat content)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 slices of cheese (American or your choice)
- 4 burger buns
- Fresh lettuce
- Sliced tomato
- Sliced pickles
- Sliced onions
- Ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise for serving
Instructions
- Mix ground beef with salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Grill the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked to your preference.
- Layer a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of grilling.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers by placing patties on the buns and layering with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions.
- Serve with condiments and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, mix in Worcestershire sauce or garlic into the beef before forming patties.
