A delightful snack with crispy phyllo dough and creamy feta cheese, enhanced by a sweet and spicy chili honey drizzle.
Ingredients
- 8 ounces feta cheese
- 8 sheets phyllo dough
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon dried herbs
- Optional: fresh herbs, spinach, olives, or roasted red peppers
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Optional sweet chili sauce
Instructions
- Crumble the feta cheese into small pieces and mix with dried herbs and garlic powder.
- Lay a sheet of phyllo dough flat and brush with olive oil. Place a spoonful of the feta mixture near one end and roll tightly into a cylinder.
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Arrange the rolls on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
- In a small pot, warm honey, stir in chili flakes, then add lemon juice and keep warm.
- Drizzle the sweet chili honey over the feta rolls and serve immediately.
Notes
Keep phyllo dough covered while working to prevent it from drying out. Customize the filling with optional ingredients as desired.
