Ingredients
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
- 2 cups Fresh Strawberries
- 1/4 cup Strawberry Preserves (optional)
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 8 ounces Dark or Semi-Sweet Chocolate
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and sugar.
- Add the unsalted butter, mixing until crumbly.
- Press the mixture into a pie dish to form the crust.
- Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes or until slightly firm.
- Allow the crust to cool while you prepare the filling.
- Melt the chocolate in a bowl over hot water or in the microwave.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream.
- Spread the chocolate mixture over the cooled pie crust.
- Arrange fresh strawberries on top.
- Optionally, heat the strawberry preserves and drizzle over the strawberries.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
For best flavor, use fresh strawberries and let the crust cool completely before adding the filling.
