Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 2 cups Fresh Strawberries
  • 1/4 cup Strawberry Preserves (optional)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 8 ounces Dark or Semi-Sweet Chocolate


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and sugar.
  3. Add the unsalted butter, mixing until crumbly.
  4. Press the mixture into a pie dish to form the crust.
  5. Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes or until slightly firm.
  6. Allow the crust to cool while you prepare the filling.
  7. Melt the chocolate in a bowl over hot water or in the microwave.
  8. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  9. Gently fold the melted chocolate into the whipped cream.
  10. Spread the chocolate mixture over the cooled pie crust.
  11. Arrange fresh strawberries on top.
  12. Optionally, heat the strawberry preserves and drizzle over the strawberries.
  13. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh strawberries and let the crust cool completely before adding the filling.
