Description

This classic meatloaf combines ground beef and oats for a delicious and comforting dish that’s perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, oats, eggs, onions, garlic, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together ketchup and brown sugar. Spread evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans for a classic meal. Leftovers can be made into sandwiches.
