This classic meatloaf combines ground beef and oats for a delicious and comforting dish that’s perfect for family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup diced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, oats, eggs, onions, garlic, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix together ketchup and brown sugar. Spread evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans for a classic meal. Leftovers can be made into sandwiches.
