Ingredients
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- Honey butter syrup (equal parts melted butter and honey, pinch of salt)
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle iron to a medium-high setting.
- In a large bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, sugar, milk, eggs, and melted butter. Mix until just combined.
- Pour about a quarter cup of batter onto your waffle iron and cook until golden brown, approximately 3-5 minutes.
- Drizzle with homemade honey butter syrup before serving.
