Description

Delight in warm, crispy sesame balls filled with sweet red bean paste, perfect for any dessert table.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup red bean paste
  • 1 cup sesame seeds
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour with water until a dough forms.
  2. Take a small piece of dough, flatten it, and place a teaspoon of red bean paste in the center.
  3. Wrap the dough around the paste and shape it into a ball.
  4. Roll the ball in sesame seeds until well coated.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry the balls in small batches until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes each.
  7. Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.

Notes

Use freshly made red bean paste for better flavor. Avoid overcrowding the frying pan.
