Ingredients
- 1 cup glutinous rice flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup red bean paste
- 1 cup sesame seeds
- Oil for deep frying
- Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour with water until a dough forms.
- Take a small piece of dough, flatten it, and place a teaspoon of red bean paste in the center.
- Wrap the dough around the paste and shape it into a ball.
- Roll the ball in sesame seeds until well coated.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or heavy pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the balls in small batches until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes each.
- Remove and drain on paper towels before serving.
Notes
Use freshly made red bean paste for better flavor. Avoid overcrowding the frying pan.
