Description

Delightful crispy sesame balls filled with sweet red bean paste, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • 1/2 cup red bean paste
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Water, as needed for dough
  • Oil, for frying


Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour and gradually add water to form a dough.
  2. Divide the dough into small balls, flatten them, and place a spoonful of red bean paste in the center.
  3. Seal the dough around the filling and roll it into a ball.
  4. Dust the balls lightly with cornstarch.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Carefully place the sesame balls in the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
  7. Remove them from the oil and let them rest on a wire rack.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

These sesame balls are best served warm and can be doused with honey for extra sweetness.
