  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 8 cups day-old bread cubes (challah or brioche)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • Caramel sauce, for drizzling
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans), for topping


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed bananas, sugar, eggs, and milk until smooth.
  3. Add bread cubes and gently fold until well combined; let sit for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased baking dish.
