Delicious shrimp cakes featuring fresh herbs and spices, pan-fried to golden perfection.
Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce (optional)
- 1 teaspoon chili paste (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Finely chop fresh herbs and mix with shrimp, breadcrumbs, and spices in a bowl.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Chill the patties in the refrigerator for about 15-30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Pan-fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
Notes
Serve with sweet chili sauce or tangy lime aioli. Can be paired with a fresh cucumber salad.
