Description

Deliciously cheesy nachos with crunchy tortilla chips, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 10 corn tortillas
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup jalapeño peppers
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup chile con queso


Instructions

  1. Cut the corn tortillas into triangles or desired shapes. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Fry tortilla pieces in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Arrange the fried tortilla chips on an oven-safe plate or baking tray. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the chips.
  4. Place nachos under a broiler or in a hot oven until cheese is melted, about 2-5 minutes. Remove from heat and top with sliced jalapeños while cheese is still warm.
  5. Serve hot with salsa or chile con queso on the side.

Notes

Nachos are best enjoyed fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in a toaster oven or microwave.
