Deliciously cheesy nachos with crunchy tortilla chips, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- 10 corn tortillas
- 2 cups vegetable oil
- 2 cups cheddar cheese
- 1 cup jalapeño peppers
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 cup chile con queso
Instructions
- Cut the corn tortillas into triangles or desired shapes. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry tortilla pieces in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- Arrange the fried tortilla chips on an oven-safe plate or baking tray. Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese over the chips.
- Place nachos under a broiler or in a hot oven until cheese is melted, about 2-5 minutes. Remove from heat and top with sliced jalapeños while cheese is still warm.
- Serve hot with salsa or chile con queso on the side.
Notes
Nachos are best enjoyed fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Reheat in a toaster oven or microwave.
