Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Chocolate ganache or jam for filling
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in cocoa powder, flour, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Create indents in the center of each ball with your thumb.
- Fill indents with chocolate ganache or jam.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
