Description
A comforting dish of creamy rice infused with caramelized onions and rich butter, perfect as a side or main course.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Long-Grain Rice
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 cups Beef Broth (or Vegetable Broth)
- 1 cup Caramelized Onions
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Add the long-grain rice and stir well to coat it in the butter.
- Pour in the beef broth (or vegetable broth) and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and cover the saucepan. Simmer for about 15-20 minutes, until the rice is tender and has absorbed the liquid.
- Gently stir in the caramelized onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix until well combined.
- Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added depth of flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine when cooking the rice. Ensure that your onions are properly caramelized for the best sweetness.
