Ingredients
- 3 pounds chuck roast
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 crusty baguettes or hoagie rolls
- Melted provolone cheese (optional)
- Sautéed onions (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chuck roast with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Place the seasoned beef in the slow cooker and pour the beef broth over it.
- Cook on low for 8 hours until the beef is tender.
- After cooking, remove the beef, slice it, and serve on baguettes or hoagie rolls.
- Serve with a small bowl of au jus for dipping.
Notes
For extra flavor, sear the beef before placing it in the slow cooker. Customize with your favorite toppings.
