An impressive appetizer that combines creamy Brie cheese with sweet fig jam and crunchy pecans.
Ingredients
- 1 wheel Brie Cheese (or substitute with Camembert)
- 1/2 cup Fig Jam (choose artisan brands for best quality)
- 1/3 cup Pecans (or substitute with walnuts or almonds)
- 2 tablespoons Honey (or use maple syrup for a unique twist)
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Thyme (or substitute with rosemary if preferred)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the wheel of Brie in a small oven-safe dish.
- Spread the fig jam generously over the top of the Brie.
- Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the jam.
- Drizzle honey over the pecans for added sweetness.
- Add the fresh thyme on top for a burst of flavor.
- Bake in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the cheese is soft and gooey.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, toast the pecans in a dry skillet. Experiment with different jams like apricot or cranberry.
