Description

An impressive appetizer that combines creamy Brie cheese with sweet fig jam and crunchy pecans.

Ingredients

  • 1 wheel Brie Cheese (or substitute with Camembert)
  • 1/2 cup Fig Jam (choose artisan brands for best quality)
  • 1/3 cup Pecans (or substitute with walnuts or almonds)
  • 2 tablespoons Honey (or use maple syrup for a unique twist)
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Thyme (or substitute with rosemary if preferred)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place the wheel of Brie in a small oven-safe dish.
  3. Spread the fig jam generously over the top of the Brie.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the jam.
  5. Drizzle honey over the pecans for added sweetness.
  6. Add the fresh thyme on top for a burst of flavor.
  7. Bake in the oven for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the cheese is soft and gooey.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, toast the pecans in a dry skillet. Experiment with different jams like apricot or cranberry.
