Ingredients
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 4 cups broth (chicken or vegetable)
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the Italian sausage over medium heat until fully cooked.
- Add the diced onion, garlic, and bell pepper, and sauté until the vegetables are tender.
- Pour in the diced tomatoes and broth, bring to a boil.
- Stir in the dried herbs, season with salt and pepper, and reduce to a simmer.
