Description

Fun and festive Jack Skellington Oreo Pops, perfect for Halloween celebrations.

Ingredients

  • Oreo Cookies (regular or chocolate, gluten-free optional)
  • White Candy Melts (quantity as needed for dipping)
  • Black Candy Melts or Black Chocolate (for decorating)
  • Lollipop Sticks (one per Oreo)
  • Wax Paper or Parchment Paper (for drying the pops)
  • Vegetable Oil or Shortening (to thin candy melts, optional)
  • Edible Glitter or Black Sugar Pearls (for garnish)
  • Peppermint or Vanilla Extract (to flavor white candy melts, optional)

Instructions

  1. Arrange all ingredients and tools on a clean surface. Lay out wax paper or parchment paper to place the Oreo pops while drying and have your lollipop sticks ready.
  2. Gently insert a lollipop stick into the cream filling of each Oreo by twisting slightly to avoid breaking the cookie. If a cookie cracks, set it aside and try again with a fresh one.
  3. Melt the white candy melts using a microwave or double boiler until smooth, stirring occasionally. If desired, add a small amount of vegetable oil or shortening to thin the coating and improve dipping.
  4. Submerge each Oreo pop in the melted white candy melts, tapping off any excess gently. Place the dipped pops onto the prepared wax paper and let them set until firm but not completely hardened.
  5. Melt black candy melts or chocolate and transfer to a piping bag or small squeeze bottle. Carefully pipe Jack Skellington’s iconic eyes, nostrils, and stitched smile onto the white coating. Practice piping on parchment paper first to master the design.
  6. Allow the decorated Oreo pops to rest undisturbed until the candy coating hardens entirely, about 30 to 60 minutes at room temperature.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Refrigerating may change the texture slightly.
