Ingredients
- 4 ripe peaches, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- Cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, followed by the peach slices.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for about 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Dust with powdered sugar before serving. This cake can be served warm with ice cream or cold with whipped cream.
