Description

A delightful twist on two classic comfort foods, combining juicy burger patties with cheesy mac ‘n’ cheese wrapped in a tortilla.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 4 large tortillas
  • Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour to create a roux, then gradually stir in milk and cheese until smooth.
  3. Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and grill or pan-fry until cooked through.
  4. Allow macaroni and cheese to cool slightly before assembling.
  5. Place burger patty and mac ‘n’ cheese in the center of a tortilla and wrap tightly.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
