Ingredients
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 large tortillas
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook macaroni according to package instructions.
- In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour to create a roux, then gradually stir in milk and cheese until smooth.
- Season the ground beef with salt and pepper and grill or pan-fry until cooked through.
- Allow macaroni and cheese to cool slightly before assembling.
- Place burger patty and mac ‘n’ cheese in the center of a tortilla and wrap tightly.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
