Description

Ingredients
- 500g all-purpose flour
- 25g active dry yeast
- 100g sugar
- 250ml milk
- 2 large eggs
- 125g unsalted butter, softened
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, and sugar.
- Warm the milk slightly and add it to the dry ingredients along with eggs and softened butter.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
- Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough as thinly as possible and shape it into spirals.
- Allow the formed Ensaimadas to rest for 30 minutes before baking.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
For best results, use high-quality flour and fresh yeast. Ensure your kitchen is warm for effective rising.
