A vibrant and flavorful snack that combines the sweetness of mango with the heat of habanero in crispy cauliflower wings.
Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
- 1-2 habanero peppers, chopped (adjust to taste)
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- Cooking oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dip cauliflower florets into the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
- Place the coated cauliflower on the baking sheet and spray with cooking oil.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until crispy and golden.
- While the cauliflower is baking, blend mango, habanero, garlic, and lime juice in a food processor until smooth to create the sauce.
- Once the cauliflower is done, remove from the oven and toss with the mango-habanero sauce.
- Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes for extra crispiness (optional).
- Serve warm, paired with dips such as ranch or yogurt-based sauces.
Notes
Customize the spice level by adjusting the amount of habanero. For extra crunch, consider a cornstarch coating.
