Description

A vibrant and flavorful snack that combines the sweetness of mango with the heat of habanero in crispy cauliflower wings.

Ingredients

  • 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
  • 1-2 habanero peppers, chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • Cooking oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip cauliflower florets into the flour mixture, ensuring an even coating.
  4. Place the coated cauliflower on the baking sheet and spray with cooking oil.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes or until crispy and golden.
  6. While the cauliflower is baking, blend mango, habanero, garlic, and lime juice in a food processor until smooth to create the sauce.
  7. Once the cauliflower is done, remove from the oven and toss with the mango-habanero sauce.
  8. Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes for extra crispiness (optional).
  9. Serve warm, paired with dips such as ranch or yogurt-based sauces.

Notes

Customize the spice level by adjusting the amount of habanero. For extra crunch, consider a cornstarch coating.
