These Mango Habanero Cauliflower Wings are a delicious blend of spicy and sweet flavors, offering a fun twist on traditional wings while being vegan and gluten-free.
Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for extra crunch)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 ripe mango
- 2 habanero peppers (adjust to taste)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a bowl, mix the flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder, and salt.
- Toss the florets in the flour mixture until well coated.
- Spread the cauliflower on a baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- While the cauliflower is roasting, blend the mango, habaneros, olive oil, lime juice, and salt until smooth to create the glaze.
- Once the cauliflower is roasted, toss it in the mango-habanero glaze.
- Return the coated cauliflower to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes to set the glaze.
- Serve with dipping sauces and garnish with cilantro and lime wedges.
Notes
For a milder version, replace habanero with a milder pepper like jalapeño. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
