Ingredients
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine maple syrup, heavy cream, butter, and sugar.
- Heat the mixture while stirring gently until it reaches the soft-ball stage (around 235°F or 113°C).
- Once at temperature, cool briefly, then beat the mixture until it thickens and becomes creamy.
- Pour the mixture into a lined pan and allow it to cool completely before cutting into squares.
Notes
Use a candy thermometer for accurate temperature control. Allow cooling in the pan for 10 minutes before beating for a smooth finish.
