Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (mix of semi-sweet and milk chocolate)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan.
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla, stirring just until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, and salt until just incorporated.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake until edges are golden and the center is slightly set, about 25 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
