Description
A delightful dessert that combines cookies and a pie, featuring a warm Nutella center and soft cookie crust.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 - 3/4 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
 - 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
 - 1 large egg
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
 - 1 cup Nutella (chocolate hazelnut spread)
 - 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
 
Instructions
- Cream the unsalted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
 - Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
 - In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if desired.
 - Press half of the cookie dough into a greased pie dish, forming a flat layer.
 - Spread a generous layer of Nutella over the cookie dough base, leaving a small border.
 - Scatter the remaining cookie dough over the Nutella layer, flattening slightly if desired.
 - Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
 - Cool for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
 
Notes
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days or refrigerate for about a week.
