A quick and easy dish featuring creamy pasta cooked all in one pan, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups Ditalini Pasta (or substitute with orzo or small shells)
- 2 cups Chicken Broth (low sodium or bone broth)
- 1 cup Heavy Cream (adjust for desired richness)
- 4 tablespoons Salted Butter (modify amount as needed)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (for sautéing garlic)
- 1 cup Parmesan Cheese (freshly grated)
- to taste Salt and Pepper
- to taste Fresh Parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add the Ditalini pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream and butter. Mix well until the butter melts into a creamy sauce.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and combined. Season with salt and pepper to taste. If you like a little heat, add red pepper flakes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
For best flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese and feel free to add veggies like spinach or peas.
