Description

A decadent Oreo Chocolate Mousse Pie with a rich chocolate filling and crunchy Oreo crust, perfect for any celebration.


Ingredients

  • 24 Oreos, crushed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 8 oz high-quality chocolate (at least 60% cacao), chopped
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Optional: whipped cream, crushed Oreos, and chocolate shavings for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat the fridge by ensuring it’s set to its coldest setting.
  2. In a bowl, combine crushed Oreos and melted butter, then press the mixture into the bottom of a pie pan to form the crust.
  3. Melt the chopped chocolate and let cool slightly.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip together heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cooled chocolate until fully combined, being careful not to deflate the mixture.
  6. Pour the mousse over the prepared Oreo crust and smooth the top.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.
  8. Serve garnished with whipped cream, crushed Oreos, and chocolate shavings, if desired.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute Oreos with gluten-free cookies. Optionally, espresso powder can be added for deeper flavor.
