Description
A decadent Oreo Chocolate Mousse Pie with a rich chocolate filling and crunchy Oreo crust, perfect for any celebration.
Ingredients
- 24 Oreos, crushed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 8 oz high-quality chocolate (at least 60% cacao), chopped
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: whipped cream, crushed Oreos, and chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the fridge by ensuring it’s set to its coldest setting.
- In a bowl, combine crushed Oreos and melted butter, then press the mixture into the bottom of a pie pan to form the crust.
- Melt the chopped chocolate and let cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whip together heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cooled chocolate until fully combined, being careful not to deflate the mixture.
- Pour the mousse over the prepared Oreo crust and smooth the top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Serve garnished with whipped cream, crushed Oreos, and chocolate shavings, if desired.
Notes
For a gluten-free version, substitute Oreos with gluten-free cookies. Optionally, espresso powder can be added for deeper flavor.
