A quick and easy dish that packs a flavorful punch, Paneer Bhurji is a healthy and filling breakfast option featuring crumbled paneer and spices.
Ingredients
- 200 grams Paneer (Fresh or homemade preferred)
- 1 Red Onion (Chopped)
- 1 Tomato (Chopped)
- 1 Green Chili (Finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons Cilantro Leaves (Chopped)
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1 teaspoon Cumin Powder (Optional)
- 1 teaspoon Chili Powder (Adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon Dried Fenugreek Leaves (Optional)
- 1 teaspoon Salt (Adjust to taste)
Instructions
- Crumble the paneer into small pieces and set aside.
- In a pan, heat the oil and butter over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- Add chopped red onion and sauté until golden brown.
- Add green chili and chopped tomato, cooking until the tomato softens.
- Sprinkle in turmeric powder, cumin powder, chili powder, and salt. Stir well to combine.
- Add the crumbled paneer and mix thoroughly. Cook for about 5 minutes.
- Finish by adding chopped cilantro and dried fenugreek leaves, if using. Cook for another minute.
Notes
For best taste, use freshly made paneer. Adjust spice levels to preference.
