Description

This Parmesan Crusted Chicken features a crispy coating and creamy Alfredo sauce, perfect for a comforting weeknight meal or a special occasion.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for pan-searing
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness of about ½ inch.
  2. Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and a mixture of breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
  3. Bread the chicken by dipping it first in flour, then in egg, and finally in the breadcrumb mixture.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side.
  5. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and transfer the chicken to bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  6. For the Alfredo sauce, heat heavy cream and garlic in a saucepan over medium heat, whisking until warmed through.
  7. Stir in remaining Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Serve chicken over fettuccine drizzled with Alfredo sauce and garnished with parsley.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, substitute breadcrumbs with gluten-free panko and use gluten-free flour. For a dairy-free version, use nutritional yeast and a dairy-free cream substitute.
