Delicious, creamy Peanut Butter Balls that are easy to make and perfect for sharing.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups peanut butter
- ½ cup butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tbsp shortening (optional)
Instructions
- Combine peanut butter and butter in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
- Gradually add powdered sugar while mixing to form a dough.
- Roll the dough into 1 tablespoon-sized balls.
- Place the balls on a parchment-lined tray.
- Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes until the balls become firm.
- In another bowl, melt the chocolate and optional shortening until smooth.
- Dip each ball in the melted chocolate, removing any excess before placing them back on the tray.
- Allow the coating to set. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for 2 months.
Notes
For an extra touch, drizzle melted chocolate or sprinkle crushed nuts on top before serving.
