Ingredients
- 1 (18.2 ounce) box of brownie mix
- 2 cups pecan halves, roughly chopped
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Flaky sea salt, for optional sprinkle
- 1/2 cup store-bought caramel sauce, for optional drizzle
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9×9-inch metal baking pan with parchment paper.
- Prepare and bake the brownies according to the instructions on the back of the box. Allow them to cool to room temperature.
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the pecans, melted butter, brown sugar, corn syrup, honey, heavy cream, and salt.
- Transfer the pecan mixture to the cooled brownies, distributing evenly.
- Return the baking pan to the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
- Lift the brownies using the parchment paper handles, place on a cutting board, and cut into 16 portions. Sprinkle with flaky salt and drizzle with caramel if desired.
