Description

A delightful cake that combines the rich flavors of pecan pie with a moist cake, topped with a luscious maple caramel sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for caramel)
  • Sea salt (for garnish)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prepare a greased cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and airy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Gradually incorporate flour and chopped pecans into the mixture.
  5. Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean, approximately 30-35 minutes.
  7. While the cake is baking, prepare the maple caramel by slowly cooking sugar and maple syrup together.
  8. Once the cake is baked and cooled, drizzle with maple caramel sauce.
  9. Garnish with sea salt and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a smoother cake, omit the pecans or replace them with chocolate chips. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
