Description

Festive peppermint swirl cookies that are easy to make and perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Red and green food coloring
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy.
  2. Mix in the peppermint extract and salt.
  3. Add in the flour gradually until combined.
  4. Divide the dough into two portions and add food coloring to each.
  5. Roll out each color and twist them together to form a log.
  6. Chill the dough for 30 minutes before slicing.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Slice the dough into rounds and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  9. Let cool before serving.
