Festive peppermint swirl cookies that are easy to make and perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Red and green food coloring
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Mix in the peppermint extract and salt.
- Add in the flour gradually until combined.
- Divide the dough into two portions and add food coloring to each.
- Roll out each color and twist them together to form a log.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes before slicing.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the dough into rounds and bake for 10-12 minutes.
- Let cool before serving.
